Crafts

While most were outside playing with dolls and trying to impress the boys, I was inside baking polymer clay beads, sitting at my easel, hitting my tiny fingers with what seemed like the worlds heaviest hammer, and taking weekend classes at the Portland Art Museum. Crafts were always a part of my life. My grandmothers each enjoyed different things, one was obsessed with stamping, one loved to sew, and the other loved to send mail.
Zines

The first few zines I had ever read were sent to me by post in a mail swap back in high school. I then picked up my first stack of zines as the result of getting lost in the largest bookstore downtown. I had no idea you could buy them in stores. I also had no idea what I was getting myself into. While I have not been exposed to the zine world for very long I've learned to appreciate it and create my own pieces.
